Elizabet Abraamian beat Annett Kaufmann 4–3 in Ljubljana to win the 2026 European Championships women's singles title. She became the first champion to come through the qualifying groups.[1][2]

Earlier, Abraamian recovered from 2–3 down in games to beat Prithika Pavade 4–3 in the semifinals. She saved match point before taking the decider 13–11.[1][2]

In the final, Abraamian won the fifth game 12–10 and, after Kaufmann forced a decider, took the seventh 11–6. Kaufmann said her opponent had played the better shots at the end.[1][3]

The ITTF's 2026 Week 43 rankings, announced on October 19, included the European Championships results. Abraamian climbed 12 places to world number 27, while Kaufmann rose from 43rd to 35th.[4]
