Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong qualified as China’s two highest-ranked men in the October 12 ITTF singles rankings, while Wang Manyu and Sun Yingsha earned their places as the country’s two highest-ranked women. The rules award automatic selection to those four players.[1][2]

Huang Youzheng and Kuai Man secured the other two automatic places through their doubles rankings. Excluding players already selected through singles, this route awards a place to one man and one woman based on their combined standing in doubles and mixed doubles in the same October 12 rankings.[1][2]

One further player will be selected following an assessment of performances at the China Smash, Asian Championships and WTT Champions events in Montpellier and Frankfurt. The Chinese Table Tennis Association says the selection policy also supports its preparations to pursue gold at the 2028 Los Angeles and 2032 Brisbane Olympics.[2]
